It was designed So Led's can be installed on the blade and guard.
A battery chamber was designed inside the handle. It will accept the following battery pack: Anker mini powercore 3350. any other packs with those specs will work too.

Hardware needed:
1/4 in aluminum rod. (you can fetch one at your local hardware store, you will need it to connect blade to guard.)
1/2 aluminum tubing, just a small piece. (connects guard to handle)
